When Shim Tou met Master Chan Ching Yuan , he proved him saying :

-You ´re the Patriarch Tsao  Hsi (Hui Neng)   Disciple . Aren´t you ? Tell me

   What didn´t you have when Tsao Hsi taught you in front of you ?

-         When you receive the Patriarch teaching  there was nothing  I didn´t have

     ahead. –

-         That was the answer.

Let´s soppose it was like that – nodded the Master – in this case , Why are you

asking for Tsao hsi teaching ?

If I didn´t .- the answer came – How would I be sure that there  was

nothing ahead when I was taught by the Patriarc
